The Salida Steam Plant Theater and Performing Arts Center. The biggest news in the valley in 2009 is the opening of the region’s first publicly owned, full-service conference and meeting center in the heart of downtown Salida. Integrated with the historic riverfront SteamPlant Theater, the new event center is suitable for corporate and community functions as well as private receptions and parties. The SteamPlant complex will easily accommodate upwards of 300 guests.
